Salient points:
- Things tend to go wrong when you're near your breakthrough point
- When you obey God, your foundation in life is strengthened
- Low points in our lives are a test before we receive the promise

We’re in a season where the Lord wants us to step into our pre-determined destinies.
But before that happens, we should expect to face adversity. This happens to every person who’s seeking to walk in the fullness and highest call of God for his life. The enemy has the right to test and try you.
But hear the promise of God – you shall pursue, overtake, and recover all!
It is often the case that when we are near our breakthrough point, everything that can go wrong will start to go wrong.
This is because the enemy knows the moment you have your breakthrough, he loses.
Each time you obey the Word of God, you strengthen the foundations in your life.
Learn from what David did to have your breakthrough.
The loss at Ziglag was the last thing that David had to go through before the promise of God started coming to pass.
1 Samuel 30:7-8
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” And Abiathar brought the ephod to David.
8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”
Immediately after this episode, David was catapulted to the throne.
God gave David one tribe to lead (Judah) to test him before giving him 12 tribes to lead after passing the test.
So, what did David do?
1) The first David had to do was to break the spirit of discouragement over his life. Everyone that had been used by God had to battle with the spirit of discouragement before breakthroughs.
Learn to be an encourager; don’t pull people down.
Also encourage yourself by speaking to yourself; learning to praise; speaking in tongues; get into the Word.
2) The second thing David did was asking for a linen ephod (prayer shawl); i.e. a fresh anointing of prayer. The purpose of the prayer anointing is to inquire of the Lord.
3) The third thing: David took the spoils and sowed multiple seeds. Every time you sow a seed into good ground, you put a demand on the ground to produce seed and a hundred-fold blessings into your life.
SO, like David, your "Ziglag" can either crush you or it can be a turning point in your life.
